Centre of Planning and Economic Research – KEPE

KEPE is an independent scientific advisory organisation of the government on economic issues. Its main tasks include the provision of research and economic policy support, publishing research papers and drafting policy reports and studies on behalf of and in cooperation with national, European and international bodies and research centres offering insights into the Greek economy. The National Productivity Council is part of KEPE while a Reform Observatory monitors and evaluates structural reforms. Moreover, KEPE systematically monitors international economic developments and the domestic economic situation, providing GDP forecasts, current situation indicators, analysing the developments in key economic sectors and contemporary issues. It also supports the state in the process of setting the minimum wage. KEPE researchers participate in working groups, councils and ministerial committees and state agencies. Last but not least, KEPE often serves as a representative body of Greece in European and international organisations and scientific associations.
