Leibniz Institute for Educational Trajectories – LifBi

LifBi promotes longitudinal studies in educational research in Germany and carries out the National Educational Panel Study (NEPS), which provides longitudinal data on education. LIfBi is part of a Education Research Network bringing together experts from different disciplines and institutions promoting quality and equity in education. LIfBi has a strong network including the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the Institute for Educational Quality Improvement (IQB) which supports schools quality development.

Main Tasks within LINEup

The national authority from Germany supports the identification and access to longitudinal studies and other datasets, the selection of the schools participating in the qualitative research in its country, the formulation and dissemination of project recommendations and results.

Newsletter

'Did you know?’ newsletter: every six months a newsletter will provide catchy information on the project and its results to anyone that will ask to receive it through the project website.

Lessons Learned newsletter: every six months a more scientific and policy oriented newsletter will summarise major results from the research. The intended readership includes researchers, policymakers and civil servants from governments and international and national organizations.
